Are you tough enough by NAVY standards? Here are some of the fitness requirements for Males and Females age 17 to 19. Satisfactory Marginal is the minimum performance level required for enlistment in the NAVY. Do you have what it takes?
Push Ups
Push Ups by NAVY’s standards
Hands approximately shoulder-width at shoulder level. Fingers forward; body straight/rigid.
Successful rep: elbows must break 90-degrees with return to full extension of arms. Rest only in the up position. At no time can hands come off the deck or knees touch the ground.
Sit Ups
Sit Ups by NAVY’s standards
Feet flat approximately 12” from buttocks. Arms folded across chest with hands on shoulders; hips remain in contact with surface.
Successful rep: elbows must touch knees. Shoulders must touch ground on return. Rest only in up position. A partner can hold your feet.
Pull Ups
Pull Ups by NAVY’s standards
Palms facing outward all the way up until chin goes over bar, all the way down until shoulders are extended. No kipping.
